The proposed Constitutional wording is the problem

This Video [CLICK HERE] explains that while the proposed Referendum for an indigenous voice to parliament (the Voice) is a valid and important question to ask the Australian people, it is let down by the proposed wording of the accompanying change to the Constitution. The proposed change is too brief to properly define the Voice and provides almost no guidance to the parliament and the courts. Worst of all, it puts all of the powers for defining the Voice in the hands of the parliament. Every function of government defined in the Australian Constitution has accompanying rules that cannot be altered by the Government of the day without the approval of the people and yet the Voice is proposed to have no such rules. It will be subject to potentially fundamental change every time there is a change of government in the future. The New Aussie Constitution also proposes an indigenous voice to parliament but it is specifically defined in the draft constitution.

The New Aussie Constitution is a fully drafted document that has been developed independently of Government or any political party.
