Time to talk about a new Australian Constitution

Events playing out around the world remind us of the importance of a country’s Constitution. Here in Australia our Constitution gives ultimate power to a person that no one elected and who lives in another country.

Our Constitution is the contract between Australians and their elected government, which sets out our rights and responsibilities as a nation. Is it right that a single person has the final say under our Constitution and that person is not Australian, was not elected by our citizens, does not live in Australia and has no checks and balances over their ultimate power over Australian citizens.
